Biska Jatra (also known as Bisket Jatra) is a multi-day festival celebrated primarily in Bhaktapur and surrounding areas in Nepal, marking the Nepali Solar New Year in mid-April. The festival features the grand procession of chariots carrying the deities Bhairab and Bhadrakali, the erection of a giant wooden pole called the “Yosing,” and a unique tongue-piercing ritual in Bode.
